Writer's Block: Just another manic Monday

With my current job, there are parts I dread and parts I love. My "weekends" don't fall on saturday and sunday most of the time... Anymore, I just take the breaks I can get.

On my "weekends," I enjoy being able to relax for even a few hours with some friends across the river.

As far as dreading work goes, snaking sewers is pretty high on the list...

democrats v republicans...

I recently asked my friend's little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President some day.

Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, "If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?"

She replied, 'I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people.'

Her parents beamed.

"Wow...what a worthy goal." I told her, " But you don't have to wait until you're President to do that. You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and sweep my yard, and I'll pay you $50. Then I'll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house."

She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, "Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?"

I said, "Welcome to the Republican Party."

Her parents still aren't speaking to me.

Who is Jack Schitt?

For some time many of us have wondered just who is Jack Schitt?
We find ourselves at a loss when someone says, "You don't know Jack Schitt" Well, thanks to my genealogy efforts, you can now respond in an intellectual way.

Jack Schitt is the only son of Awe Schitt. Awe Schitt, the fertilizer magnate, who married O. Schitt, the owner of Needeep N. Schitt, Inc. They had one son Jack.

In turn, Jack Schitt married Noe Schitt. The children : Holie Schitt, Giva Schitt, Fulla Schitt, Bull Schitt and the twins Deep schitt and Dip Schitt.

After being married 15 years, Jack and Noe Schitt divorced. Noe Schitt later married Ted Sherlock, and because her kids were living with them , she wanted to keep her previous name. She was then known as Noe Schitt Sherlock.

Against her parents objections, Deep Schitt married Dumb Schitt, a high school drop out. Meanwhile , Dip Schitt married Loda Schitt, and they produced a son with a rather nervous disposition named Chicken Schitt. Two of the other six children, Fulla Schitt and Giva Schitt, were inseparable throughout childhood and subsequentaly married the Happen brothers in a dual ceramony. The wedding announcementin the newspaper announced the Schitt-Happens nuptials. The Schitt Happens children were Dawg, Byrd and Horse.

Bull Schitt the prodigal son, left home to tour the world. He recently returned from Italy with his new Italian bride Pisa Schitt. Now when someone says you don't know Jack Schitt, you can correct them.

Sincerly Crock O Schitt

I feel mildly silly... or is that bored?

Your five favorite female characters:
1. Lina Inverse (The Slayers)
2. Ryoko (Tenchi)
3. Sawa (Kite)
4. Tifa (FFVII Advent Children)
5. Rukia Kuchiki (Bleach)

Who do you like the most?
I'd have to say Sawa. Kite was an interesting movie, and the way that she was portrayed (not to mention the reasons for this) were awesome. The evolutionary concept of Lina would come in a relatively close second.

Your five favorite male characters:
1. Abel Nightroad (Trinity Blood)
2. Zechs Merquise (Gundam Wing)
3. Shikamaru Nara (Naruto)
4. Bolt Crank (Eat Man)
5. Vash the Stampede (Trigun)

Who do you like the most?
Sadly, i'd have to go for Bolt Crank. All of the options in my mind were awesome, but Bolt takes the cake. Anyone who can eat and then spontaniously summon [insert object here] at will would need something serious to detract from their concept. But the way that Bolt is, it compliments his demeanor perfectly along with his pieced together story.

Your favorite anime voice actor?
I don't really have an answer for this one. I don't know any of the voice actors off hand, although the original voice for Abel Nightroad was good.

Your favorite anime song?
I don't remember the name of the song. opening song for Naruto by Orange Range. oh bugger.

Do you cosplay? Or, what kind of cosplay would you like to do?
cosplay? nah, I'd pro'ly end up as an ANBU. or possibly gunslinger. /ponder

What makes you feel "MOE" the most?
it's been so long since i've even considered something along those lines.

Five people who you pass this baton to:
those who wish to catch?

I hate places like skully's. it's not the music... it's not the $5 cover... it's the people trying to appear so "perfect" but even the way that they move is so fake. There is no social structure at a place like Skully's unless you consider the mobs of random people grinding on the dance floor to horribly equalized music.

When Outlands was still open, they had a social structure. There were pool tables, the smoking "lounge" and even the meat locker, where you could socialize if you wanted to. There, the people were obviously trying to be predator, prey or indifferent, but it was expected. It was a BDSM bar. It was the place where if your tastes ran two steps to the left that you could find someone who lined up with your style. Even with how fake it appeared, there were real people there... the trick was getting enough gloss off of them for them to realize that you wanted someone real.

Midguard was similar. There was a sort of ranking among those who came to the shows. It all depended on who and why you were there. There were a bunch of kids who were finding themselves in a mess of indie rock and temptation.

sigh...

for those of you who were confused about my last post. I was putting in my two weeks at tommy's on monday. Now, the manager on mondays, paul, was in a funk. this could have been for any number of reasons, but he was unusually snarly all night. I talked to him after i got my closing stuff done and he wanted to continue the conversation in the office (never a good thing). well, i told him that i wanted to put in my two weeks, and he informed me that raine met with rick (the owner) about cutting hours since business was slow (and the fact that they just hired three people, despite losing at least two). So, I ended up getting fired because i was apparently working too many hours... I only had three shifts whereas there are people working six and seven a week.

the motive that i can see raine having is that i'm not afraid to talk to paul and rick about the fucked up things that went on at tommy's so she decided to get me as out of the way as she could by talking rick into having me fired.

i feel bad for paul though. he's a good guy, and they had to shove it onto him. that in itself is what tore him apart all night.

apparently raine was going to do it sunday, but i had left early to go to urgent care to get wrist checked out. I've got Arthalgia / tendonitis. I was given prednozone for it which is an anti-inflamitory and a steroid. Anywho, when i told raine that i was leaving, she looked at me like she was going to ask me into the office, but when our eyes met, i saw that she was scared to do it.

the bitch.

Okay, so this car pulls up in front of tommys tonight. A middle aged guy comes in and asks if he could call 911 because his dad is having a heart attack. The manager (Teresa aka Raine) just says "our phones don't dial out." and promptly started ignoring the guy's existence. One of the servers was standing behind the counter when this went down and immediately pulled her cell out, called 911 and told the guy to hold on to her phone in case they called back. She went in and served some food then went back out to talk to the guy... upon her coming back in, she got yelled out cause a pizza (which they didn't call her name for) sat there for a couple minutes before she took it out to the table... this extrapolated into an entire mess for the rest of the evening...

I found out tonight that the guy passed away and was pronounced dead either while the paramedics were there or on his way to the hospital.

that was Sunday.

Not the most glamorous work but it needs done. I'm dropping a night (or two at tommys, so I'll be able to get more sleep... my current schedule is 9-4 when I'm not working tommys, and 9-3 when I am...

other than that, things are going about normal... i'm running a ship that's about as leaky as a strainer...
i'm beginning to really hate this application... i just got a copy on the web, and not only did it screw up, but now there's a slew of changes to be made to both it and the website. blah...

okay, now the changes to the physical document is done... now i have to add the forms to make it applicable to the website.

do be do... blogging at work... do be do... >.>

not much is going on right now, i'm just tired as hell while sitting here... that's one of the downsides of this job, if i'm not completely awake (which is rare), then i'll be trying to take a nap instead of working.

it makes me almost sad... =P
